New Models, Beneteau Sail

The Figaro Beneteau 3 is the first production foiling one-design monohull ever to be designed. A distillation of technology and innovation, it results from a collaboration between group Beneteau’s best experts and the Van Peteghem Lauriot-Prévost (VPLP) office, the architects of the two last boats to win the Vendée Globe.

When it came time to sell my sailboat, a Beneteau 343, I naturally selected St. Barts Yachts, the local Beneteau dealer in Oriental, North Carolina. I met Scott Pickard there, a yacht broker, and he patiently explained the selling process to me from deciding on a price, to preparing the listing, to how he would select his clients and show the boat, what to expect for an offer, and what to expect at closing. He suggested a well reasoned selling price based on two years of comparable closed Beneteau sales, and he said he expected mine to sell within two or three months. We listed the boat on a Monday and received an excellent offer on Friday, just four days later. We closed within three weeks. Throughout the entire process, Scott was a consummate professional, a patient and effective communicator, a good listener, and obviously, an excellent salesperson! I recommend him without reservation to anyone interested in buying or selling a boat of any size.
