The Monk 36 is a Classic aft cabin trawler.The popularity of the Monk 36 stems from her overall design and the execution by the dedicated craftsman in Nova Scotia. She features a walk-around centerline queen berth in the master aft cabin. The aft head features a stand up shower stall. On the exterior, the unobstructed flybridge provides a seating and entertainment area that can be enclosed.on three sides.

Monk 36 Layout
This is a two cabin boat with a forward V-berth and head compartment.  The master cabin is aft with a centerline queen berth, head with separate shower compartment, hanging locker and lots of storage.  The salon features an L-shaped settee to port, and a dining table with fold out leaves.  The galley is to starboard, and has a large refrigerator, 3 burner propane stove w/oven, microwave, a double sink, and lots of storage and counter space.  

Accommodations

Forward, there is a large v-berth with filler in the forward cabin. The guest head is located to port just aft of the forward cabin.Three steps up and you are in the main salon. The lower helm and sliding door to side deck are located forward to starboard.  The L shaped galley is located to starboard - aft in the mail salon area. It includes a 3-burner propane stove, double stainless steel sinks and a stand-up Norcold refrigerator-freezer. To port is a large L-shaped settee with foldout dinette that seats six. The  entrance to the aft cabin is to port  located aft of the settee..  Two steps down leads to the luxurious master aft cabin with centerline queen berth and ensuite head with stand up shower stall. The engine and generator access is obtained by lifting the teak and holly cabin sole hatches.
