Reviews of the Beneteau Retractable Keel 343

  • "This is a lot of boat for 34 feet, but it appears to be a very well-thought-out package." - Sail Magazine
  • "By all appearances, the designers of the 343 placed their emphasis on improvements in boathandling and accommodations, rather than making dramatic changes in hull, sailplan, or appendages. Compared with the performance-oriented Beneteau Fast line, this boat is designed for casual daysailing, coastal cruising, or overnighting in comfort...Beyond that, the company added a clever device, a (patented) pivoting helm seat that eases access to and from the swim platform. With the wheel rotated to port, the transom cutout is purposely off-center to starboard, effectively creating a straight shot to the companionway." - Practical Sailor
  • "The Beneteau 343 is the latest model from one of the industry’s most prolific builder. Conceived as a lively cruiser, the 343 includes design and construction features that we’ve come to take for granted from Beneteau. The 343 is comfortable on deck and below, it is easy to handle and maintain, and it performs well through a wide range of conditions. When you throw in a base price that hovers just over $100,000 you can add excellent value to the mix of features.

  • Beneteau Oceanis 343 Yacht / Sailboat

Launched in 2005, the Beneteau Oceanis 343 blends impressive performance with exceptional comfort and spacious accommodation. Her stylish lines and innovative design have won her a string of accolades including winning the under 40 foot category of the Croatian Boat of The Year 2005, being a finalist in the Australian Marine Industries Awards 2006 and being shortlisted for Cruising World’s 2005 Boat of The Year.

January 14:  Outboard stolen off stern and some damage to Bimini.  Owner is addressing.

Overall this boat is ready for her next owner and would benefit from some cosmetic work, bottom clean and a lot of sailing!  She was mostly daysailed 4-5 times a year and less recently due to owners not having time.
