Recently St. Barts Yachts handed over this beautiful new Beneteau Oceanis 41.1 sailboat to the proud new owner. Marc plans to keep his new boat in Jacksonville, FL and cruise extensively throughout the keys and the Bahamas. Pretty soon, Marc will be offering charters on Pura Vida as well!
Julie Tijerina was Marc’s broker in Jacksonville and worked tirelessly with Marc and his father to make sure that every detail was perfect and every consideration had been made. Nothing was overlooked and Julie made sure Marc got exactly what he wanted – including the impressive custom Beneteau seahorse decals on the bow.
After being built in Marion, SC the sailboat was shipped to Charleston, SC for commissioning. The St. Barts Yachts service team – Eddie, Russel and Bryan expertly rigged the boat, assembled, installed and fine-tuned all the equipment on board. They customized the boat to Marc’s specifications installing additional outlets and applying the decals.
Once complete, Marc traveled to Charleston with brokers Julie and Andy Lee to take delivery of his new sailboat. While he only intended to stay for one day, he quickly realized there was a lot more to learn and extended his stay to three days. Jean-Michel Morisson worked with Marc, his dad, Andy and Julie every day to make sure their maiden voyage would be a successful one.
After the hand-over and sea trial, Captain Andy Lee sailed down to Jacksonville with Marc and Tom to help them learn more about the boat and navigate the waters. It was a beautiful trip with a great time had by all!
The Oceanis 41.1 is a breeze to sail with hard chine that stretches nearly the entire length of the hull, providing more room on deck and in the cabin, greater stability, and better performance.
